About Hustle Badger

All about us.

What Hustle Badger is

Hustle Badger teaches AI and core product management skills.

We’re a UK based edtech company who train folks from across Europe and the UK, North America, India, South East Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

In any given week, we see visitors from 175+ countries around the world exploring our courses and content.

We’ve also trained multiple enterprises across the UK and Europe, looking to upskill their teams.

These range from lean start ups to PE firms, to major enterprises and banks.

We teach across the hierarchy: from early stage PMs looking to nail the product toolkit, all the way up to executive only cohorts, for senior leaders looking to get hands on in a safe environment.

Core use cases for our content include mastering skills like discovery and design thinking, putting in place key foundations to lead your product organisation, such as strategies, visions, people tooling, and improving on execution – both AI enabled, and PM best practices.

We aim to cover the full spectrum of product and AI needs, from advanced to beginner, with a focus on both theory and practice.

How we teach

In order to be able to apply a concept or skill, it’s key to understand it.

We focus on demystifying complex topics, and taking a senior perspective on what good looks like.

That means applying a sophisticated lens to well known frameworks, and showing how to actually make them useful.

Take, for example, the RICE Framework. Every product manager has heard of it, but to deploy it effectively, we teach that scoring with a logarithmic scale, and treating it as a degree of certainty exercise as you progress through discovery is key to good outcomes.

We believe that product managers are smart, numerate and passionate about technology and business.

But we also believe that they need help to cut through the noise, demystify concepts and frameworks and learn the cheat codes behind tools like competency frameworks, jobs to be done, or Claude Code.

We also believe that theory must serve a purpose, and the practical application of any given concept or framework should be clear.

Hands on teaching is at the heart of our philosophy, and for this reason our cohorts and ondemand courses are inherently application led, supported by step by step exercises and instructor content.

Finally, any tool is there to make a product manager better at their job.  They should support job excellence, careers, and promotion paths.  We measure our success in the number of jobs gained, the number of promotions received, and the effectiveness with which we help leaders onboard and execute.

How we price

We know there are options out there which cost thousands of dollars to get access to materials, attend an 8 week training, or have a one year membership.

We believe that in order to help people routinely gain new skills, education has to be affordable.  We’d rather teach more people than charge a lot to a few.

Many of our members come back to us over and over again to enhance and accelerate their careers.  We believe that this is because we make it possible for them to do so.

Who we are, and what we care about

Our Mission

To provide people in the tech industry with the skills they need to succeed in their jobs.

Our Perspective

We think the education system is currently failing the tech sector, where many critical roles didn’t even exist 10 years ago.

The options that have sprung up since then are often a huge investment in time and money, dated, or poor quality and fragmented, sourced from the social media sphere.

Often they are theoretical: learners understand the theory behind a concept, but leave not having applied it.

When they turn to options like social media for help, frequently they find a wall of hype and misinformation.

This is especially true when it comes to AI: the landscape is moving so fast that it can be hard to keep up.

We believe the solution is responsive education that aims to provide immediate, actionable answers to the problems people are facing in their day-to-day work.

We also believe that no topic cannot be clearly understood, clearly stated, and the utility and trade offs in deploying it articulated.

We pride ourselves on breaking down complexity, providing real models and exercises that people can implement, and ensuring that after every course, learners leave with something concrete.

Finally: we believe that education that needs to keep pace with the times should be affordable and accessible.  For that reason we keep our prices lower than competitors.  Training should not be a luxury product, and it must show ROI.

The team behind Hustle Badger

Hustle Badger is a UK based company, founded in 2022 by Ed Biden and Susannah Belcher.  Both have worked in the US, Asian and European tech ecosystem for the last 20 years, building some of the best known internet businesses to come out of those ecosystems.

Their resumes include Depop, Foodpanda, Wooga, Datacamp and Rocket Internet.   Critically they are proven operators, having held C-suite positions for multiple years, with a track record of hiring, coaching and building successful teams.

Ed Biden’s specialism is product and tech, and Susannah Belcher’s is go-to-market and operations.  We both really like building.

Along the way, we’ve been lucky to work with some talented people to help us do what Hustle Badger does.  We have a suite of content producers and instructors who shape and deliver our courses.  We also have a great back office team who help us keep the lights on.
